Malostranské naměstí 21
Malá Strana, Praha 1
Redefining cabaret, Seasons of Liz takes its audience on an emotional journey through one woman’s life – its sunny days and funny moments as well as its inevitable tempests, droughts and tsunamis! Using weather as an allegorical catalyst for the show to illustrate her ups and downs, loves and losses, mistakes and lessons learned, Liz crosses the globe in search of- well, does she really know? Each continent brings a fresh perspective in this rollercoaster of music, pathos and mirth. Liz creates a theatrical masterpiece that pushes beyond any typical cabaret experience.
Seasons of Liz, features familiar songs, as well as specially commissioned works. There are four commissioned new works in this rendition, all of them great pieces of storytelling, which lend themselves to theatrical, as well as musical interpretation. The original pieces have been created by the sensational Janey Clarke, who wrote Murder Mystery Blues based on Woody Allen’s material, Adele Anderson of Fascinating Aida and Warren Wills, world renowned pianist and composer.
You’ll laugh, cry and everything else in between as you join Liz Merendino on her personal journey through stormy weather, sunny days and a lot of time spent indoors.
“Liz Merendino’s voice is pure, honest and enthusiastically compelling.” Tamara Keshecki, Artistic Director, Musical Chairs Chamber Ensemble, New York.
