Beatles Record New Song With a Little Help from Czech Fan

A devoted Czech Beatles fan and amateur musician has painstakingly pieced together a brand new Fab Four track

John, Paul, George, and Ringo may have parted ways in the 1970s but the Fab Four are still making music, at least in the mind of one Czech super fan.

Twenty-six-year-old České Budějovice musician David Novotny has just released “I Know My Love/We’re Still Together,” an original composition using snippets of audio from thirty Beatles’ recordings.

The four-minute song took thousands of hours to compile using hundreds of snatches of one- to two-second vocals taken from hits like “With a Little Help from My Friends.”

Novotny, who plays guitar in a local group called Metroklub Big Band, recorded the Beatles-style music with some help from his bandmates.

The song has already been viewed nine thousand times on YouTube and has landed Novotny a nomination in the Czech Book of World Records.

Novotny has been a fan of the band since he was 8-years-old, maintaining a life-long mop-top hairstyle. Naturally, he has tickets to the upcoming Paul McCartney show in Prague this June.

The aspiring musician and documentarian has even sent a recording of the track to McCartney’s current guitarist, keeping fingers crossed that one of the two living Beatles will respond.
