While it’s like to be another weekend at home in Prague and the Czech Republic you can now explore some great cultural events live from the comfort of your couch or bed.

  • Česká filmová klasika – The YouTube channel of the National Film Archive is currently streaming a number of Czech films for free. While not all of them are English friendly, several have subtitles including Bila Nemoc, Krakatit, and Vražda ing. Čerta, and Panna a Netvor
  • Movie Barf Netflix Watch Party – On April 6, catch Under the Shadow in association with Farsi Cinema Center. See FB event for more details.
  • Boutique Kino Pritomnost – This former 1930s culture venue was on the verge of re-opening prior to the government restrictions on non-essential businesses. It’s had to postpone its launch but you can still support them by buying a ticket and attending viewing parties of one of the regular screenings.

U Stare pani Jazz Cocktail club in Prague
  • U Staré paní Jazz & Cocktail Club – Live recordings of evening concerts from the closed club U Staré paní are taking place daily at the “Don’t go out” website. Hear the top names in the Czech music perform.
  • Swing House – Daily live stream of a concert (7 pm) that is moderated in English and Czech and geared toward swing dancing communities here and around the world.
  • Rock Cafe – Prague venue Rock Cafe is hosting concerts during its closure; see here for a list of events.
  • Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra – Broadcasting regular evening performances of classical concerts from its social media.
