UK electronic music duo Lamb returns to Prague with a brand new album, Backspace Unwind. Producer Andy Barlow and singer-songwriter Lou Rhodes will take perform at Lucerna Music Bar.
Selah Sue – December 7
This amazing soul singer with a unique voice will perform at Roxy on the first Sunday in December. A Belgian treasure who has collaborated with CeeLo Green and has earned praise from Prince and Stevie Wonder.
Paul Van Dyk – December 12

X-massacre – December 12

Bach: Magnificat – December 15-16
This Christmas concert in the Rudolfinum is surely the event of the month and should not be missed. Collegium 1704 has prepared a Zelenka’s festive Missa Divi Xaverii in counterpoint to Bach’s festive Magnificat.
Euporhia New Year’s Eve – December 31
Ring in the new year at the Roxy and NoD with a concept party that connects the club and gallery space. Expect 3D videomapping, light shows, decorations and of course wicked DJ sets.

How Fairy Tales Dress Up – November 21-December 31
For the young and young at heart: A display of original costumes from televised Czech fairy tale productions in the breathtaking setting of the Strahov Monastery winter refectory. Bonus: A series of cardboard cut-out film stills let you play “dress-up” by poking your head through various holes. Don’t forget your camera!
designSUPERMARKET – December 11-14

Dyzajn market × Winter – December 13 – 14
Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere at this market, where everyone browses for designer clothing and accessories, drinks mulled wine and eats festive treats. Come and sing carols, watch the fashion show or listen to great music during one of the many concerts that wil be held at the market. Around 200 designers will show you their artwork.

Filmasia – December 1-7
The Asian Film Festival going on at Lucerna and Světozor cinemas will screen the best Asian films for an entire week. Fans of action, thrillers and comedy won’t be disappointed.
iShorts – December 10
For those who fall asleep during two-hour movies, The Festival of the Best European Short Films will take place in six cities around the Czech Republic this month with a rich program of films to choose from.
Mary Stuart Winter 2015 – December 16-19
An avant-garde adaptation of Friedrich Schiller’s Mary Stuart set in the high-stakes, high-profile arena of a couture runway event and brought to you by English-language production company A Broad’s Way.

Pussycakes Christmas Market – December 4
A food-themed bazaar selling not just food and Adekor china but for this second edition clothing (purchase two pieces and get a free gingerbread cupcake). All in the already festive atmosphere of the lovely Coffee House.
Balkan Sessions – December 12
If you haven’t made it to the newly opened Vinohradský Pivovar, this event is a great excuse to check it out. Live performances of traditional gypsy music, dance, and culinary specialities from the Balkans. Entry is free.
Lední Letní – December 2 – January 12
Enjoy breathtaking performances in a heated circus tent with hot drink in hand. Do not forget to take your ice-skates because an ice-skating rink is next to the circus. The original acrobat show “Loser(s)”, originally performed at Letní Letná, is part of the winter line-up.

Pillow fight Prague – December 18

The Tap Tap at the Opera – December 1
This St. Nicholas day show at the State Opera is a charity evening with members of the highly entertaining The Tap Tap band performimg a mix of music and their signature black comedy in an effort to raise funds for the Jedlička Institute.

The Nutcracker – December 21
The Nutcracker is a delightful Christmas show for the whole family and this time presented by the Bolshoi Ballet to us here in Prague via the big screen. Enjoy a fairy tale about a girl and her magical Christmas gift.
Christmas Bells Exhibit – through January 4, 2015
The Czech Republic is known for its mastery of the nativity scene; this year in addition to displaying the traditional creche, the Bethlehem Chapel will host an exhibit of an impressive range of bells from around the world.
