Prague’s Public Transport Company has released a new advertising campaign and related app that takes aim at noisy, rude, and, yes, smelly passengers on the Czech capital’s metro system.
The campaign, called “Decentness and Safety” features beloved Czech cartoon rabbits Bob and Bobek, in a series of illustrations depicting some of the most commons “misbehaviors” on public transport: failure to give up a seat to the elderly or pregnant, blasting loud music, eating sloppy food, sporting a massive backpack, and bad personal hygiene.
The company says it aims to “teach passengers about decent and safe behavior on Prague public transport,” and has based the visuals on input from straphangers fed up with their fellow passengers’ non-compliance of the mutual considerations that should be observed when traveling by metro, tram, and bus.
The free app is “intended for children and teenagers but adults will also be entertained,” says a DPP rep.
