Dinosaur eggs, brunch, and green beer: Prague Easter traditions

Chances are if you’ve spent any length of time in Prague and the Czech Republic you’ve carved out your own traditions — brunches, egg hunts, and Easter music, are popular among Prague’s expat community and locals alike.

This upcoming Easter weekend (Easter is Monday, April 22) offer all of those things and more. Below you will find tips for a variety of activities as well as how to celebrate Easter like a local (green beer for Maundy Thursday and colorful whips, anyone?)

Many of Prague Easter markets up their game for the big event offering face painting, workshops, live music and more egg-bedecked merriment. This season look out for a special Easter edition of Manifesto Market (April 15-22) with Easter specials, family activities, and live music planned as well as a festive Easter at Jiřáku (April 19-20) where concerts and workshops are scheduled.
