Easter markets to open across Prague this weekend

Easter is a festive time in the Czech Republic; here's important information on when the annual markets open

While Easter Monday falls on April 22 this year, a number of Easter markets will open across the Czech capital this weekend well in advance of the holiday.

Here are the dates for this year’s markets which promise pomlázka-styled maypole trees, ornately decorated eggs, folk performances, crafts, and traditional Czech Easter cuisine galor.

Smaller markets will take place at Toulcův dvůr (4/13)Anděl (March 30-April 22), Ořechovka (4/7), and the Prague farmer’s markets (TBA).
