KFC Launches Delivery Service in Prague

The Colonel has gone mobile: you can now get buckets of fried chicken straight to your door in the Czech capital

While food delivery was all but a foreign concept in the Czech Republic a decade ago, the business has been booming in recent years, with services like Dáme jídlo taking hundreds of thousands of orders a month.

KFC has been available for delivery through third-party services in the past, but now the Colonel himself is getting in on the action at www.kfcrozvoz.cz.

From today, the delivery service has launched in Prague, with plans to expand through the rest of the Czech Republic later this year.

“We’ve decided to offer our own KFC specialties delivery service in order to make our products more accessible to our customers and to offer something extra,” said KFC CZ Marketing Director Libor Hubík, as reported by iDnes.cz

While KFC delivery is common in many Asian countries, it’s unusual across both Europe and the USA; home delivery in the states was discontinued about 15 years ago. The Czech KFC delivery appears to be a European first.

At the KFC Rozvoz (KFC Delivery) website, you can order from the familiar range of the fast food giant’s fried chicken-based menu.

A minimum order is 200 CZK, and delivery is free. Delivery is available daily from 11:00 – 21:000, with an estimated delivery time of 30 minutes.

KFC currently operates 71 restaurants across the Czech Republic, 25 of which are in Prague.
