Now is the time to load up on summer essentials: camping gear, shorts and sandals (minus the socks please), and electronics—priced to grab the football fan’s crowns—will see deep discounts this month and throughout July say Czech consumer analysts.
Beginning this week and continuing throughout the summer, be on the look out for seasonal sales at various Prague retailers. Online news server Aktualne.cz has a useful round-up of what to buy when:
-In general, beginning this week and continuing throughout the summer, clothing, shoes, sporting goods, and garden equipment will be about 10 percent cheaper.
-A number of promotions for the sales of televisions will start with the beginning of Euro Football 2016 (June) and the Olympics Games (August) at electronics retailers citywide (including Elektro Expert).
–IKEA has already launched its summer sales, offering discounts up to 50 percent off across their entire range of inventory until June 22 or while supplies last.
–Globus has kicked off its sales of sporting goods which will expand to discounts (up to 70 percent) on spring and summer collection men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, accessories, and footwear, followed by seasonal goods such as garden furniture.
-The second half of June will see summer promotions by C & A which will cover most of the spring assortment of merchandise and summer styles and range from 30 to 50 percent.
–Sportisimo will start sales of seasonal goods in all stores and via its e-shop, up to 60-70 percent, in June.
– Datart summer sales kick off on July 11 and last for two weeks. Look for last year’s television models and large household appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, washers, and dryers to be discounted 15 to 40 percent.
-Summer sales have started at shopping center Freeport Fashion Outlet in Hatě and will run until the end of August; clothing from the spring and summer collections will reduced by up to 70 percent.
